That time of year is approaching once again, and whether you love it or hate it, Christmas is a necessary evil that we all have to deal with. For those of you like me who can’t stand the festive season I have some tips for grinning and baring it, while also milking it for as many gifts as possible! Some people love buying gifts for others, personally, I begrudge it, mainly because I haven’t got the foggiest idea what to buy people and whether they will be grateful or not. Going to the effort of trudging around the local shopping centre for hours on end is not appealing at the best of times but when it’s with the sole purpose of buying gifts for people you know won’t appreciate them, it’s altogether soul destroying.

How can you brighten it up then and make it a little more pleasurable for yourself? By making sure you get all the gifts you want of course! I find it’s bets to start dropping hints in mid-September, this way you can hammer into people’s heads what you really want. Also, don’t be coy about the proceedings, let people know there are things that you dearly want but are too hard up to purchase yourself, this will make everyone feel sorry for you including your friends, relatives and partners!

Once you have employed these techniques you just need to go about indicating the products you want, make regular trips into town and point at things enthusiastically in shop displays. Make sure your girlfreind notices when you are browsing the net and just happen to come across a computer game or gadget that would make a great Christmas gift. These sound like underhand tactics but us misers need to get some joy out of xmas too! You can always repay your girlfriend with gifts for women like spa days or even give her a pedicure!
